Join a closely knit and supportive staff team and teach a sense of community, responsibility, and sustainability in a relaxed atmosphere. Watch yourself grow as an individual and a teacher as you learn about this amazingly diverse area, develop and research your own lesson plans, design work projects, and share ideas with your peers.

Camp Highland has an incredibly diverse representation of flora and fauna. We are part of Highland Springs Resort, so living at camp can be a relaxing experience. We have access to a swimming pool, hot tub, workout room, tennis and basketball courts, and much more.

We are within a short drive to Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs, and L.A. & Hollywood. Southern California is an amazing place to live and Camp Highland is in a great location to explore the area.

WARNING: As great as Camp Highland is, it is not an easy job. Teaching young people is a challenging experience, and you must have stamina and a positive attitude to effectively teach them. You will be a full staff member, and that means helping to maintain program equipment and the camp. At Camp Highland we work hard and play hard, always maintaining the emphasis on fun and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS in a related field; quality experiences working with students in the outdoors; First Aid and CPR certified, and the ability to pass a fingerprint background check. Our program is forward thinking, flexible and dynamic and we need co-workers with similar traits. You must be a tolerant individual who reacts to situations and people positively.

BENEFITS: Room & board, access to resort facilities, benefits after 1 year, daily pay rate of $50 per day (to start) with the potential to earn up to $130 per day.
